- Rim Rec and Parks creates and employs 20 full time jobs on the mountain. In addition,
Rim Rec provides many part time jobs which are available for seniors, students, and
adults. Over the past seven years, Rim Rec has invested over $1,000,000.00 back into
the community via local businesses, contractors, and community organizations.
- RIM REC & PARK is not a part of the county and therefore is not subsidized.
- The $10 per parcel assessment on your property taxes was passed in 1984 and has never
increased. Since then, Rim Recreation and Parks has more than tripled the services
and facilities provided to mountain residents. The actual adjusted value of that
$10 assessment with cost of living is now worth only $4.58.
- 33% of Rim Recreations and Parks current debt was incurred as a result of the cost
of being on the ballot for past elections. The Registrar of Voters charges considerable
fees for election services. The upcoming vote on Measure “N” is costing us an estimated
$50,000, and it must be paid in advance.
